The Mountain to be experienced, to be discovered, to be told
Giovanni Mozzi has built his life by interweaving passion, nature and determination. After attending schools in the Stura Valley and Turin, he pursued studies in forestry with the goal of joining the Forestry Corps. However, the call of the mountains was stronger, leading him to work as a cat sitter and rescuer on the slopes of ski resorts.
In 1986, he decided to change his life and open a bar, initially with a partner, and then carry it on alone. Today, that same place has become the historic bar/restaurant “L’Oste d’Oc,” a landmark in the area.
But his true calling has always been one: hiking. Indeed, John is one of the first hiking guides in the Piedmont region, a pioneer with field experience that has given him a deep understanding of the mountains that are home for him.
Today, while continuing to run “L’Oste d’Oc,” he is ready to devote himself more and more to his great passion: accompanying hikers to discover nature and capturing the beauty of landscapes through photography. A new chapter that combines experience, love for the mountains and the desire to share it with anyone who wants to really experience it.
