Barbara and Andrea are the owners of the family-run farm “Fiori dei Monti,” located in Moiola, in the Maigre hamlet.
Not only farmers but also herdsmen create artisanal cheeses with strictly raw milk and with unmistakable names, closely linked to the territory.
Their professionalism tells the story of a family trade that has been passed down through generations, from father to son.
Respect for their animals, the sustainability of extensive farming that thrives in symbiosis with the surrounding landscape, a love of the mountains, a passion for their work, the value of tradition, and the authenticity of their products are the elements they champion through their corporate philosophy.
Furthermore, this young family goes up and returns from the mountain pastures (at the beginning and end of the summer season), still carrying out the traditional transhumance on foot, from Vinadio to the pastures located in the French municipality of Mollières, in the Mercantour National Park, just beyond the border with our beautiful Stura Valley.
The farm produces a variety of cheeses: artisanal, crafted with respect for the cheesemaking traditions of our valleys, the teachings passed down from their families, and the fruit of study, research, and in-depth analysis. Don’t worry, even when they’re in the mountain pastures, you can find them in various shops throughout the valley or arrange a delivery directly with them!
