Lake and Rink Bar – Vinadio Fortress
Bar La Crosa is located inside Vinadio’s striking Forte Albertino, a unique place where hospitality and informality blend with the timeless charm of an old stone structure. In front of the bar is the spectacular swimming lake, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, while in the winter period the nearby Skating Rink offers another must-see attraction.
Bar La Crosa offers a wide variety of delicacies for any time of day: lunch, afternoon snack, aperitif, dinner and after dinner. The menu ranges from sandwiches, pizzas, salads, chopping boards, French fries, Piedmontese appetizers, crepes, raclette, bagna càuda and ice cream. Accompanying these delicacies are draft beer, spritzes, select wines, cocktails and liquors.
This enchanting venue is not only the ideal setting for special events and private parties, such as birthdays, weddings, corporate meetings, and sporting events, but it already hosts musical evenings and live entertainment. With its unique atmosphere and services, it is the perfect place to create unforgettable memories.
Behind Bar La Crosa are Donata and Matthias, a couple who decided to turn their passion for the mountains and the Stura Valley into a lifestyle. Donata, a Cuneo-born art director, has a deep connection to Vinadio, where she spent childhood summers with her grandparents. Today she lives with Matthias, a lawyer originally from Munich, in the house built by her great-grandfather in 1913. Since the summer of 2024, Donata and Matthias have run the bar inside the fort, christening it La Crosa in homage to the mountain reflected in the lake, a symbol of this extraordinary place.
