San Bernolfo, in the municipality of Vinadio, is the only village in the southwestern Italian Alps with houses built using the Blockbau technique, a typical Walser architecture found only in northern Piedmont and Switzerland. These stone and wood houses are home to the Dahu de Sabarnui refuge and restaurant, home to Beppe and Giorgia, who welcome guests year-round, even in winter! Fresh pasta, game, and polenta are just some of the delicacies you’ll find, but the real highlight is the enormous variety of accommodation options! From classic refuge dormitories to themed rooms (wine, mountains, etc.), you have to see at least once! What else is there to add? Nothing!
