Demonte Hiking Refuge – Bergemolo Location

A few kilometers from Demonte, on an easy road, you reach the locality Laugero, in the hamlet of Bergemolo, where the “Olmo Bianco Hiking Shelter” is located.

A stopover place for many trekking, mtb / ebike or horseback riding routes, the lodge is a great place to stay both in winter (open Friday through Sunday) and summer (open daily).

The shelter is named for the presence of the White Elm, a centuries-old tree dating back to 1620 and recognized as one of Piedmont’s monumental trees that dwells in front of the chapel of St. Michael the Archangel (also from that era) adjacent to the structure of the venue.

Here Claudio and Grazia will know how to welcome you and let you taste local products and traditional Piedmontese dishes, cared for and prepared for you daily.

To fully enjoy the area’s many outdoor offerings you can stay overnight at the facility, in a comfortable and cozy dormitory with ten beds.

Facilities: Open year-round, disabled access, pet friendly.
