A valley of champions

When winter comes and the mountains are covered with snow, the Stura Valley turns into a paradise for winter sports lovers.

Nordic skiing, commonly known as cross-country skiing, can be practiced on over 100 km of slopes, which wind through centuries-old chestnut trees and in the midst of majestic firs in an unspoilt environment. Many of these tracks are FISI approved; cross-country skiing can be practiced in the stations of Festiona – Bergemolo, Aisone, Vinadio, Bagni di Vinadio, Pietraporzio and Argentera. With their different developments and conformations they will offer you many opportunities to spend the winter holidays in our Valley. These locations are known worldwide thanks to the achievements of the Olympic champion Stefania Belmondo who began her training here, and in recent years also by Lorenzo Romano.

The highlight of the valley is definitely the station of Bagni di Vinadio: the spectacular natural environment always guarantees excellent snow, thus attracting fans and athletes looking for “Canadian” snow a few kilometers from home!
