A <strong>Madonna and Child<\/strong>, a window with floral decorations, and the figure of a knight, identifiable in the martyred saint of the Theban Legion <strong>Maurice<\/strong>, are noted. In this panel is the crusader shield documenting the territory&#8217;s subservience to the <em>House of Savoy<\/em> that began in 1382 and was reaffirmed in 1569.  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The fresco of the Madonna and Child on Umberto I Street dates from the last decade of the 15th century, and is inserted in one of two aediculae carved into the sides of a driveway. Jesus&#8217; face and the Virgin&#8217;s mando are illegible, and the whole is disfigured by the later insertion of a plaster frame.
