The project was born from the desire to give continuity to a French variant that deviates from the <strong>Via Domitia<\/strong> in <strong>Saint Geniez<\/strong> along the valleys of <strong>Ubaye and Blanche<\/strong>, arriving at the <strong>hill of La Maddalena\/Larche<\/strong>, and then creates a passage to the plain of Cuneo up to intercept the <em><strong>Via Francigena<\/strong><\/em> towards Rome (or vice versa for those who want to reach Santiago de Compostela).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">It was inaugurated in autumn 2019 on the occasion of the annual meeting between the French Association of the Way and various Associations of the North West that deal with the Ways to Santiago and Rome.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">As for the logistics and information on the Stura Valley Trail of Demonte, guides have been made for those who are heading to Rome and Santiago. You can get GPS tracks and receive hospitality in parishes and a hostel where the association has some availability. You can obviously rely on the conventional structures present on the path. particular difficulties; there is also a variant for bicycles that takes advantage of the <em>Ciclovia della Valle Stura <\/em>and the whole Bike Path of the <em>Parco Fluviale Gesso e Stura <\/em>up
