Lou Feracaval Museum was founded in 1995 in Demonte with the aim of documenting the abandoned work of the blacksmith: in fact, farming and transport have always involved the use of horses, mules and donkeys. At first the route was set up in the ancient blacksmith’s workshop of Renato Borelli, lou feracaval of the Stura valley, active until the 70s.

The wall or iron forge, the large bellows, the anvil with the conical horn and the flat tongue for bending the irons have been catalogued.

Pliers, chisels, punches, burins, files, rasps, forge hammers and breakers complete the exhibition, recently moved to the premises of the Municipality.
